On the field

Our coaches.

  • Trained staff coaches lead every session, following a full curriculum built around skills, creative play, and good sportsmanship.
  • All adults in our programs clear a background check before they ever step on the field.
  • Head Coaches hold CPR certification and Heads Up concussion certification, and earn their role after a season on staff.
  • The focus is always the same: help each player fall in love with the game while they get better at it.
Coaching program

Become a coach.

Paid coaches, parent volunteers, and student assistants all have a place on our sidelines. Pick the tier that fits where you are, and grow from there.

Volunteer Coach
Unpaid · open to anyone
  • No long term commitment required, though we appreciate notice of attendance
  • Head-coach-track volunteers start with our youngest divisions
  • Volunteers under 18 must be at least 2 years older than the age group they assist
  • All adults must clear a background check first
Head Coach
The only paid role
  • The Head Coach position is a paid position within our organization
  • CPR certification required
  • "Heads Up" concussion certification required
  • At least one prior season of volunteer experience
  • Cleared background check required
Assistant Coach
Unpaid · learn the game
  • Commit to attending and assisting practice sessions for the session
  • Work alongside the head coach to keep players focused and on task
  • Learn the curriculum and earn experience toward Head Coach
  • All adults must clear a background check first

Every adult involved in our sports programs must first clear a background check with our administration before participating. Apply through the employment application and select Volunteer, Assistant Coach, or Head Coach.

How do I become a coach at ASC?
Apply through the employment application and choose Volunteer, Assistant Coach, or Head Coach. All adults must clear a background check before participating.
Are coaching positions paid?
Head Coach positions are paid. Volunteer and Assistant Coach positions are unpaid, though assistants can build experience toward Head Coach eligibility.
What does it take to be a Head Coach?
At least one prior season as a volunteer, CPR certification, "Heads Up" concussion certification, and a cleared background check.
